Hanna is a seascape and landscape painter living in West Cornwall. The North Coast of Cornwall around Gwithian and St Ives being her main source of inspiration.

Painting the places where she loves to spend her time. Working predominantly in oil her work captures the feeling of the landscape by using a mixture of fluid and thick gestural marks. Walking the coast provides a visceral connection to the land where she will document that essence in sketchbooks and plein air painting, often finishing works in her garden studio.

Hanna grew up in North Yorkshire surrounded by the beautiful dales and the moors, from an early age she explored the landscape and depicted the environment through her art.

After pursuing a nursing career she always knew she would return to her creative calling. Moving to Cornwall 12 years ago sparked her obsession with the sea and her love of painting was reignited.

"I am particularly drawn to the parts of the coastline where the sea meets the land and spend many hours watching the waves crash against the rocks. My work is about capturing the rich and varied representation of this wonderous meeting"
